Inside, this large, beautifully crafted 250-square-meter wooden chalet has been decorated in the same spirit that gives Fermes de Marie its soul and charm. An atmosphere of patinated, authentic luxury, refinement and warmth, made up of antique mountain furniture and handcrafted creations. A place where you feel like cocooning. A crackling fireplace. Here and there, wreaths and decorations in multicolored blown glass instill their magic in the vast living-dining room. A large fir tree has been decked out in winter colors, dressed in white, red, gold and silver.

Every morning, once you've stepped out of your room (the chalet has five bedrooms upstairs, each with its own elegant bathroom), you'll discover the breakfast table laid out for you. Hot drinks are simply waiting to be poured, and homemade cakes and tarts, cheeses, pastries and fresh fruit are waiting to be nibbled.
All that's left to do is get dressed, grab the gear the ski-man has specially brought and wait for the guide to pick us up. While some go snowshoeing or skiing, others take to the sled dogs.
In fact, almost anything is possible, as the concierge organizes every stay to order, even before arrival.
And when we return in the afternoon, fortunately everything has been cleaned and tidied up. Like every day, the invariably gourmet snack has been laid out on the dining room table and the fire prepared. All you have to do is strike a match and slide your slippers under the table.
What's next? Enjoy a sauna or Nordic bath in the calm of the forest, or a massage in one of the chalet's treatment rooms. Unless, of course, you prefer a Pure Altitude spa at one of the three Sibuet addresses in the Megevan region.
