"Emily in... Megève! While the most Parisian of American women loves to get away from the capital, she's never tried out winter sports before. After Giverny and Saint-Tropez, the sequel to season 4 of the Netflix series Emily in Paris takes millions of viewers to the heart of the Mont Blanc region. For her first descents on the French slopes, Emily Cooper, the main character, sets off for Megève and the surrounding area."

"The French Alps in the spotlight"

In March 2023, the young American abandoned the Eiffel Tower for the mountains. For three days, the 120-strong film crew invaded the heart of the Alps. "We were contacted by the production team because some of the actors knew our resort well. That gave us a bit of a boost, but we know we weren't the only ones in the running. I think we were chosen because, like Paris, we represent the French art of living," admits Caroline Denat, director of the Megève Tourist Office.

In the recently unveiled trailer, we catch a glimpse of the village square under the snow, as well as the famous red cabin of the cable car leading up to Rochebrune. Other iconic locations, such as the high-altitude restaurant Idéal 1850 (Edmond de Rothschild Heritage/Four Seasons Megève Collection) and the five-star Chalet des Fermes de Marie (Maisons & Hôtels Sibuet), were also used as backdrops. "We signed up for the project because we know the quality of the images in the series, and we knew that the production would bring out the best in us," explains the director. Around 116 extras, most of them local, took part in the shoot. "There was even an 80-year-old ski instructor from the region who insisted on being present, so everyone played along," she recounts enthusiastically."
