LES FERMES DE MARIE, A FAMILY HISTORY

In 1989, they laid the first stone of a long epic at Les Fermes de Marie, today an emblematic place of the art of living in the mountains, combining, in an idyllic setting of greenery, Savoyard woodwork with upmarket and elegant decoration, mostly antique. From 2011 onwards, the adventure continues as a family with their daughter Marie and their son Nicolas.

Once known as the Saint-Tropez of the Alps, the village of Megève brings together demanding families every summer on its mountain pastures, while in winter it offers them the descents of its many ski slopes. Moreover, on request, 7/7, shuttles (Land Rover SUV and/or VW Caravelle) make the trips between the Fermes de Marie and the slopes!

ACCOMMODATION

Les Fermes de Marie offers its little guests and their parents a selection of comfortable rooms and suites, as well as two private chalets, each with its own spa area.

Good news for large families who want to retain some privacy: connecting room options are available for most accommodation categories.

The Club Room (25 m²) consists of a comfortable bedroom for 2 adults and 1 baby and a bright bathroom with bathtub. Its main asset? A balcony with a panoramic view of the Alpine peaks.

The Junior Family Suite (50 m²) is perfect for a tribe of 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. It consists of a master bedroom and an adjoining bedroom, a charming bathroom with bathtub and a terrace or balcony. It is also possible to install a baby cot in your room, to be booked in advance with your Little Guest travel consultant.

The Chalet des Fermes (400 m²) is a private residence, located a few steps from the village centre. It is the place to be for large families and groups of friends. With 5 bedrooms, spacious living areas and a private spa, the chalet also benefits from exclusive underground access to Les Fermes de Marie and all its facilities.

GASTRONOMY

Good news for your little ones: all the hotel's restaurants offer children's (and allergen-free) menus and comfortable high chairs.

Les Fermes de Marie offers a child-friendly buffet: the Table des Enfants (only available during the French school holidays). This area, supervised by the kid's concierge, offers a buffet starter and main course (or à la carte menu for the main course when there are few children). In winter, the Children's Table is served in Le Hameau des Enfants, and in summer, in the Traditional Restaurant.

The traditional restaurant offers a refined regional menu, adapted to each season. Special mention should be made of the signature dish of Les Fermes de Marie: coquillettes with truffle shavings and Sauget ham. The dessert buffet is also a must.

In the Alpin restaurant, open only in winter, families can enjoy the best local specialities. On the menu: fondue bourguignonne, raclette au couteau, gâteau de Savoie, etc. A real treat!

In winter, gourmets sit at the dining room table where the truffle is given pride of place. The menu presents delicious creations based on the black diamond.

For a friendly lunch or dinner in a relaxed atmosphere, visit the table d'hôtes L'Alpage, an authentic Savoyard chalet located at altitude and exclusively reserved for the hotel's guests (open in summer only, for lunch or dinner, once a week).

Don't forget to try the homemade pastries and the extensive cocktail menu in the hotel bar.
